My Story

I've always been passionate about health and fitness. It started with being active myself, and that naturally led me towards a career where I could help others achieve their peak physical performance. Chiropractic resonated with me, and after earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree, I found myself drawn to the specific challenges faced by athletes.

While my practice treats patients of all experience levels, working with athletes brings a unique sense of accomplishment. From weekend warriors to professional competitors, seeing someone return to their sport, pain-free and performing at their best, is incredibly rewarding.

Of course, it's not just about treating pain. Rehabilitation and strength training are crucial aspects of my treatment plans. Helping athletes regain optimal function and prevent future injuries is just as important as addressing immediate issues.

My own experiences as an athlete participating in races and enjoying activities like soccer and weight training help me connect with my patients on a deeper level. I understand the demands placed on their bodies and the importance of getting back to the activities they love.

Being part of a team effort is incredibly motivating. Serving as the Team Chiropractor for the Atlanta United FC, the 2018 MLS Champions, was an incredible honor. I've also had the privilege of working with Team USA at various international competitions, including the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Sharing knowledge and collaborating with others in the field is something I'm passionate about. That's why I founded the Professional Soccer Chiropractic Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sports chiropractic specifically within soccer. Working with university athletic programs as a Strength Consultant has also been a fulfilling experience.

Beyond my professional life, staying active is simply part of who I am. You might see me running on the Beltline or participating in local races. This active lifestyle not only keeps me healthy but also allows me to empathize with the challenges faced by my patients.

The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele is important to me. Being fluent in Cantonese (Chinese) and conversant in Portuguese and Spanish helps bridge that gap.

Ultimately, my goal is to use my knowledge, experience, and passion for sports medicine to help athletes achieve their full potential. It's a journey of continuous learning and growth, and I'm excited to see what the future holds in the field of sports chiropractic.
