Out of My Comfort Zone

Why I Decided to Write This Blog

I wanted to share why I decided to write this blog. By training, I am a chiropractor specializing in sports. I graduated 17 years ago and have taken numerous continuing education courses. These courses have included adjusting techniques, biomechanics, various soft tissue techniques like the Graston Technique and Active Release, diagnostic courses, kinesiotaping, functional movement screens, and more. My extensive training has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the human body and the various methods available to enhance its function and health.

Over the past 17 years, both allopathic and non-conventional medicine have changed drastically. As technology advances and research progresses, our clinical acumen in treating patients has evolved. During this time, I’ve seen patients respond well to procedures that were once considered quackery, and I’ve also seen treatments that were once state-of-the-art fade into obscurity. There is an abundance of information on the web, but some of it is suspect, unsubstantiated, and questionable at best. I hope to be able to bring you some truth behind the great landscape of health and fitness. This constant evolution in the medical field is both fascinating and challenging, highlighting the importance of staying informed and adaptable.

Medicine, fitness, and health are incredibly dynamic fields. It is well-known that Americans consume more prescription and over-the-counter drugs than any other nation. This statistic underscores the need for a more proactive approach to health and wellness. We need to stay on top of research, science, trends, and other data points to not only live longer lives but to live better lives—lives of greater quality and fulfillment. This proactive approach includes understanding the importance of preventive care, holistic health practices, and the integration of new and emerging treatments.

With this blog, I hope to bring you the latest trends, advice from top experts in health and finance, and insights on how we can create a healthier and more fulfilling existence. The information shared here will be a blend of scientific research, practical tips, and expert opinions, aiming to provide a well-rounded perspective on health and wellness. Whether it's discussing the benefits of a new exercise regimen, exploring the impact of nutrition on overall health, or providing financial advice to ensure a stress-free future, this blog will cover a wide range of topics designed to enhance your quality of life.

If you have any topics you want covered, please feel free to send me a message. Your feedback and inquiries are invaluable in guiding the content of this blog. I hope to provide you with quality information throughout this journey, addressing your concerns and interests with thorough and well-researched content.

Benjamin Franklin, one of our country’s forefathers, once said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." This timeless wisdom is particularly relevant in today’s fast-paced world, where preventive measures can significantly impact our long-term health and well-being.

I look forward to embarking on this journey with you. Together, we can explore the vast landscape of health and wellness, continually learning and growing to achieve our best selves.

Sincerely,

Norman Eng, DC
